Allegedly (18+ adult) ( 9 Stars @ 13) Mary was convicted of manslaughter; for the murder of a three month old baby. Mary was nine, and her life was over. Of course, there’s more to it. The only other person in the house that night was Mary’s momma, who, of course, lied, and said Mary was alone in the baby’s room with the baby. Mary hadn’t had a reason to tell the true story, but now, with a baby on the way, a baby the state will take from her, she has a sense of urgency; a sense of urgency, and a very interesting story. Astrophysics for people in a hurry (18+ adult) (8 Stars @ 12) …It’s exactly what it sounds like. It’s a guide, an over-view, a summary, an intro to astrophysics. And it happens to be pretty short, which is a plus.
P.S. Apparently he has a small asteroid named after him.
the Book Thief (18+ adult) (10 Stars @ 12) Sometimes you want a book to make you laugh, and think, and cry, and remember. This is it. I guarantee it. It’s a window into the past, into a dark, dark time, but it focuses on the bright spots, the happy moments, and makes you recall those years when life was blissful and free. It’s a novel about heartbreak and abandonment, but mainly it’s a tale of love.
